A signed, Modernist Elio Schiavon handbuilt stoneware vase. The vase features a white field with green glazed accents and the image of a face and a red orb. It is signed in black underglaze on the underside ‘Schiavon’.

Elio Schiavon (Italian, 1925 – 2004) taught art at the Venice Academy before opening his own studio in Padua in the mid-1950s. In the mid 1980s, his son took over operation of the studio when it was moved to Abano Terme.
