A 1975 oil painting on canvas by artist Alice M. Petrina. The piece depicts a group of racing sailboats, rendered in a muted palette of blue, grey and white hues. It is signed ‘Petrina 1975’ in white paint to the lower center right. The painting features a framework of repurposed pieces of unfinished wood affixed to the edges of the stretched canvas, which is fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

- frame wood is distressed and dry with surface wear, scratches, cracks and nicks throughout; chips to frame at back right corner; foxing to canvas verso; dried glue visible to right side; no backing paper present.
