An acrylic and mixed media painting on canvas titled Lucy’s Choice by New New painter Graham Peacock, executed in 1988. Thickly layered acrylics and mixed medias of paper and canvas are applied in stages, with carefully executed juxtapositions and color. The surface relationship is inspired by natural formations and the all over abstract composition of colors is inspired by Kenneth Noland, Morris Louis, Larry Poons, Jules Olitski, and Jackson Pollock. The work is presented with a box frame.

Graham Peacock attended Goldsmith’s School of Art at London University from 1962-1966. He continued his post graduate studies in Painting and Sculpture at Leeds College of Art in United Kingdom in 1966 and 1967. Graham attended the Emma Lake Workshop in 1980 and 1981 and the Inaugural Triangle Workshop in Pine Plains, New York in 1982. He was also a Professor of Fine Art and Design at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Member of the New New Painters, a group of artists brought together by the first curator of modern and contemporary art at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Dr. Kenworth Moffett in 1978.
