A limited edtion 2014 serigraph New Horizon by listed artist Romero Britto (Brazil/Miami; born 1963). This three dimensional Pop Art print depicts the sun rising over a body of water emanating rays of patterns and hearts. There is a flower covered hill with a solitary tree to the left foreground, all rendered in vibrant color. This piece is signed in graphite to the lower left margin and numbered 236 out of an edition of 750 to the lower right margin. Presented with a raised printed border that continues the central image, under acrylic glass and housed in a heavily textured silver tone frame. A hanging wire is present to the verso.
Romero Britto is a Brazilian Neo-Pop artist who works in the fields of painting, serigraphy and sculpting. His work combines elements of cubism, graffiti art, and pop art, utilizing cartoonish subjects, vibrant colors, and bold patterns. Romero has created images for Absolut Vodka, BMW, Pepsi, among others. He has numerous works on display throughout the US and has garnered many awards for his art.
