Duncan Phyfe Mahogany Dining Table and Six Chippendale Style Mahogany Chairs

A dining ensemble consisting of a set of six Chippendale style mahogany chairs designed with a shaped and carved top rail with central carved seashell decoration with carved ears to either side leading down to moulded uprights with an intricately carved pierced central back splat consisting of draped ribbon, carved acanthus and central tassel decoration. This leads down to drop in seats covered in a off white scalloped damask fabric. The seat rail has carved gadroon decoration supported by cabriole legs to the front with carved foliate decoration terminating with a ball and claw foot with outswept legs to the back. Along with the set of chairs is a Duncan Phyfe mahogany pedestal table. The table includes one leaf (shown in photo) and protective top pads. The table has double urn pedestal bases each with four splayed legs terminating in brass lion paw end caps.
