Limited Edition Bronze Statue After James Earle Fraser's "End of the Trail"

Item Details

A limited edition bronze sculpture after James Earle Fraser (1876-1953) sculpture titled End of the Trail. This work depicts a despondent Native American warrior on horseback, both man and animal bent over in exhaustion. Fraser meant his original work (done in 1894) to convey a sense of human loss regarding the destruction of native cultures in the U.S. and the relegation of these people to reservations in the lands where once they had thrived. Numbered 344 out of an edition of 500 and signed in cast at the base. A plaque mounted on the green marble base provides the title.
