Large Power-Loomed Heriz-Style Area Rug

A large power-loomed area rug. This plush rug features a Heriz Serapi-style design in a palette of rust, midnight blue, cream, spricot, and salmon. It begins with a large, multilobed medallion at the center of a rust-colored field with deep spandrels. Populating the medallion, field and spandrels are palmettes, vines, leaves, and flowers. The field is framed by compound borders, including a floral herati primary border grounded in midnight blue. Selvedges are bound; ends finish with applied fringe. The rug is unlabeled.
