Offset Lithographs After Henry Fletcher "August" and "November"
Item Details
A pair of offset lithographs titled August and November after engravings by Henry Fletcher (active 1710-1750) from Twelve Months of Flowers by British horticulturist Robert Furber (1674-1756) and after designs painted by Pieter Casteels III (1684-1749). These prints depict detailed flower arrangements in vases that feature over thirty blooms that flourish during the titular month. Beneath the imagery is printed the month and list of included flowers. Each is presented behind glass in wood frames with a gold tone inlay and sawtooth brackets to the verso for hanging.
Condition
- toning to prints; scratches and nicks throughout frames, particularly to front edges.
