Offset Lithographs After Henry Fletcher "March" and "November"

A pair of offset lithographs titled March and November after engravings by Henry Fletcher (active 1710-1750) from Twelve Months of Flowers by British horticulturist Robert Furber (1674-1756) and after designs painted by Pieter Casteels III (1684-1749). These prints depict detailed flower arrangements in vases that feature over thirty blooms that flourish during the titular month. Beneath the imagery is printed the month and list of included flowers. Each is presented behind glass in gold tone wood frames with sawtooth brackets to the versos for hanging.

Condition

- mark to lower left margin of “November” print; wear to finish and minor nicks to larger frame; “March” print loose behind mat; marks to mat; wear and nicks to smaller frame particularly to lower edge.
