A hand-knotted Persian Mohajeran Sarouk area rug. The rug features a central floral medallion in a palette of powder blue, dark blue, taupe, and red on a deep purple field. The field is populated by floral and vine patterns throughout with embellished spandrels in taupe. The field is enclosed by a compound border that features a herati pattern throughout with a dark red background. The rug has an overcast edge and a short fringe to either end. Unmarked.
