A hand-knotted Persian Lilihan area rug. The rug features a central diamond medallion in cream, black, and deep blue on a light red field. The field is populated by a herati pattern throughout and is enclosed by a compound border. The border features a geometric floral and vine pattern in a complementary palette on a cream background. It has an overcast edge and a short fringe to either end. Unmarked.
