A graphite drawing on paper titled Farmer with Schythe attributed to American artist and illustrator Edmund Birckhead Bensell (1842-1894). This drawing depicts a Pennsylvania Dutch man sharpening a scythe for harvest. To the verso is an additional figure study drawing of a seated man and a label giving the title and artist attribution. This piece is presented behind a mat and glass in a wood frame that is wired for hanging.
