Item Details
A pair of vintage vanity brushes by La Pierre Mfg. Co. (established 1888, New York, NY). This selection includes a hairbrush and a clothing brush, which feature engraved ribbed designs to the back with chased scrolled trim. The center of each marked with a personal engraving that reads, ‘AONH’ in an oval frame surrounded by floral, foliage, and ribbon designs. The hairbrush also has a tapered and ribbed handle. Each piece is stamped with the La Pierre Mfg. Co. maker’s mark alongside ‘Sterling’.
Condition
- tarnish to each; light dents to handles; discoloration to bristles; each have personal engravings.
