Japanese Satsuma Style Vase

A Japanese satsuma style vase. This piece depicts a trio of guardian figures with gilt halos in relief on a crackled white glaze. Geometric bands accent the base and shoulder, and the vase is finished with moriage detail throughout. It is marked to the underside: ‘Made in Japan.’

Condition

- chip and possible crack across surface of neck; intentional crazing throughout.
