Japanese Satsuma Ceramic Vases
Item Details
An assembled pair of vintage Japanese Satsuma vases with moriage detailing. The tallest piece features a dark blue and brown glaze with figures in traditional Japanese clothing and a handle to each side. The shortest piece also has a dark blue and and is decorated with a colorful bird and has a scalloped rim and a different style of handles. Both pieces are stamped to the underside “Made in Japan” and date to the mid-20th century. Additionally, the smallest piece is marked with a “1”.
Condition
- good to fair condition for smallest piece with some areas of missing paint; fair condition for largest piece with some staining and missing paint.
