A limited edition serigraph by well-listed and world-renowned American street artist Shepard Fairey (South Carolina/California; born 1970), titled Wind Chases The Sun. This piece was originally created for a documentary on Leonard Pettier and proceeds were used support his defense committee. This print is a posterized depiction of Leonard Peltie, Native American activist, citizen of the Anishinabe & Dakota/Lakota Nations, as well as a member of the American Indian Movement (AIM). Peltie is rendered wears a garment with a native american motif and skull. He looks out from barred cell with light shining the distance. The title of the film and block text is presented to the upper right. This piece is numbered 120 out of an edition of 450. The work is signed by hand to the lower print margin. Fairey’s iconic “Obey” logo is printed to the lower left corner. This work is presented unmounted and unframed.
