Colonial Brass Figurines and Victorian Bust Sculptures
Item Details
A collection of four vintage brass sculptures. The pair of colonial brass figurines are representative of a shepherd and shepherdess and sit on acanthus leaf gilt brass bases. The Victorian brass busts sit on marble bases, each depicting a young woman. One has an elaborate coif, while the other is wearing a tricorn hat with long flowing hair. The bust on the white-veined red marble bears plaque with A. Abuedito Sus. Nietos 22-7-1924 inscribed upon it.
Condition
- tarnish; worn finish; some spots and markings throughout; points of scuffing on bases of both Colonial Brass Figurines.
- missing walking stick from brass Colonial Shepherd.
- missing item from the hand and apron of the brass Colonial Shepherdess.
- some tarnish and worn finish on both brass bust sculptures with marble stands; Felt covering missing on the bottom and loose right screw holding plaque of the “A. Abuedito” brass figurine.
