A metal floral arrangement by Jane Hutcheson for Gorham. It features a yellow flower pot with a variety of flowers. The pot contains grapevine designs and has claw feet. It is on a gold tone and white base that is marked to the underside.
Exquisite arrangement of enamel and gold plated metal, yellow, white, green and gilt flower, leaves and berries in a reticulated white gilt porcelain centerpiece. It is marked on the underside ‘Designed by Jane Hutcheson for The Gorham Company’. This type of work is known as Fleurs des Siecles and was inspired by 17th and 18th century French Vincennes porcelain flowers. Jane Hutcheson first displayed her arrangements in the window of a Madison Avenue shop in New York City. Her work was discovered and Jane secured contract with Gorham. ‘Fleurs des Siecles’ became one of their most successful gift lines of the 1970’s and 80’s. s shown
