Hand-Knotted Pakistani Bokhara Area Rug

A Pakistani Bokhara area rug. This wool rug is finely hand-knotted in midnight blue and cream. It features a latticed field of elongated dyrnak hooked diamond guls enclosed in hexagons; these are interspersed with small hexagonal shields and rectangular divider bars. The field is framed by seven wraparound geometric borders. At the top and bottom of the rug are horizontal borders featuring diamond lattice patterns. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with long ivory wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
