Item Details
A hand-knotted Sino-Persian accent rug. This Chinese-made wool and silk rug is rendered in a palette of lavender, crimson, cocoa, powder blue, lilac, and black. It begins with a starburst medallion over a lavender field, which is densely populated with palmettes, flowers, and foliage, with a crescent of blue florals at the top and bottom. The field is framed by four borders, including a stylized herati primary border over lilac. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with long wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
