Vintage Chinese Embroidered Robe and Japanese Juban
Item Details
A pair of vintage East Asian silk robes. The grouping includes a pale lavender silk Japanese juban with a matching waist belt. The silk is embroidered with light tonal floral and small bird designs. The circa 1950s embroidered Chinese robe is white silk with scenic designs including florals in blue-gray tones with red and pale orange accents. A traditional mandarin collar, frog closures and a full lining complete the piece. No labeling is present.
Condition
- lavender robe shows wear, staining and discoloration throughout, some tearing around collar; white robe shows wear to lining, a few minor marks throughout
