Semi-Antique Handwoven Anatolian Accent Rug
Item Details
A semi-antique, handwoven Anatolian accent rug. This wool rug appears to be a segment of what once was a longer rug. It is rendered in a palette of crimson, sapphire, olive, mustard, and gray. Divided into quadrants, the field is grounded in crimson and sapphire and filled with hooked medallions, a pair of complex medallions incorporating large tulip motifs, geometric florets, hooks, pinwheels, and other symbolic motifs. Selvedges are quadruple overcast, the rug finishing at each end with knotted wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
