A hand-knotted fine Persian Bijar accent rug. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of teal, madder red, camel, and midnight blue. It features a hexagonal pendant medallion in similar colors. In classic Bijar manner, each element of the field, from the central medallion to the spandrels features a herati pattern. The field is framed by four borders, including a turtle-patterned primary border over midnight blue. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with decoratively knotted fine wool warp fringe.
