Late 19th Century Forbes Silver Co. Silver Plate Candlesticks

A pair of late 19th century candlesticks by Forbes Silver Company of Meriden, CT (active 1894 – 1898). Forbes was originally a division of the Meriden Britannia Co. and then became a part of International Silver in 1898. Each candlestick features a round sconce on a faceted capital, resting on a faceted column with personalized engraving. The candlesticks have hexagonal bases, marked to the underside, ‘Forbes S.P. Co.’
