Antique C. Parker Silver Plate Civil War Era Snuff Box

Item Details

An antique Civil War era silver plate snuff box, circa 1860. This oval box was made by C. Parker Co., a major supplier of snuffboxes, toiletry boxes, glasses cases, etc. to the Union troops during the American Civil War. The box features a vine and leaf pattern surrounding a blank medallion cartouche on its hinged lid, with button clasp closure. The base is inscribed, ‘C. Parker Pat. Jan. 24, 1860’.
