Vintage Bergere Chair with Rope and Tassel Carvings

Item Details

A vintage bergere chair. This chair features a foliate carved pediment serpentine crest rail with raised shoulders curving down to closed arms with rope and tassel accent stiles finishing in a larger tassel hand hold with carved details. The chair includes a bowed back and an oversized cushion seat which are upholstered in a peacock fabric with shades of blue, rose burgundy. The piece rises up on tapering legs including carved bow knees with splay legs to the back.
