A vintage brass French fire fighter’s helmet from the city of Nancy, Meurthe-et-Moselle, in northeastern France. Features a brass dome, brim, and raised center ridge, with a silver-toned plaque to the front bearing the stylized image of a roaring fire with the words ‘Sapeurs Pompiers de Nancy’ (Firefighters of Nancy) ribboned across the top.

Condition

- marks consistent with use; tarnishing to metal; could benefit from cleaning; loss of one rivet; no liner.
