An ammonite fossil specimen. This sectioned coiled ammonoid fossil displays both mud and calcite filled chambers with some chambers showing euhedral calcite crystals in the chamber cavity. The specimen retains some permineralized exterior shell material but where this is missing the highly complex ammonitic suture pattern is evident. No collection locality information is provided for this specimen.
