Sino-Tibetan Gold Plated Copper Maitreya Buddha Figurine

Item Details

A Sino-Tibetan gold plated copper statue of Maitreya Buddha. This sculpture, which depicts Maitreya, the Future Buddha, is seated in the dhyanasana pose upon a lotus base and is adorned in an ornate crown and flowing sashes. He holds his right hand in the vitarka mudra while his other grasps his belt. It is detailed with polychrome enamel on the face and head in a red and blue pigment. To the underside is an inscribed floral mark.
