French Grisaille Limoges Triptych with Gilt Brass Gothic Frame
Item Details
An early 20th-century French enameled limoges triptych in a gilt brass gothic style frame. The limoges panels are hand painted in grisaille with gilt accents and depict three figural scenes. The frame has two folding doors on either side and appears in the gothic style. To the verso of the frame are incised initials, ‘AL.’
Condition
- right panel is cracked to the lower left; panels are somewhat loose in frame; left door hinge is damaged.
