Sino-Tibetan Gilt Bronze of Manjushri

A Sino-Tibetan gilt bronze statue of the bodhisattva Manjushri (Mañjuśrī). This figure is seated in the dhyanasana pose upon a lotus base and is ornately dressed in the clothes and crown of a bodhisattva. He brandishes a khadga sword with his right hand while his left hand is held in the vitarka mudra. An utpala lotus flower blooms at his left shoulder and gilt accents decorate the bronze throughout. The underside is hollow and is unmarked.
