Gorham "Mythologique" Sterling Silver Flatware Set
Item Details
A sterling silver flatware set by Gorham Manufacturing Company. This is in the F. Antoine Heller designed Mythologique pattern, first introduced in 1894, which features multi motif of classical mythologies. The forty-eight piece set includes nine dinner forks, six place spoons, nine teaspoons, five salad forks, two fish forks, five fruit spoons, and a round soup spoon. This is also presented with nine dinner knives, a master butter knife, and a butter spreader. Some of the handles have personalized engravings to the back, and the forks and spoons are marked with the three Gorham pseudo hallmarks of a lion, anchor, and Gothic ‘G’ along with ‘Sterling’. The knives and spreader are marked ‘Stainless Blade Gorham Sterling Handle’ along the blades. The total approximate weight, excluding dinner knives, butter spreader, and butter knife with stainless blades, is 71.390 ozt.
