Ancient Seljuq Bronze Bowl

An ancient bronze bowl from the Seljuq Dynasty (1037-1194), ca. late 12th-century. The center of the bowl an incised avian motif surrounded by a band of stylized patterns. The exterior edge has three panels and three medallions with incised patterns. Evidence of once having tripod legs.

Condition

- age appropriate wear and use; missing the original tripod legs; scratches, marks and dents present throughout.
