Chinese Zinc Prayer Ingot

Item Details

A Chinese zinc prayer ingot. To the front face is a seated, robed figure upon a lotus throne surrounded by banners and aligned arrangements of Chinese characters in a low relief. Below the figure are dragon and phoenix motifs with an orb between them. The composition is bordered by taijitu symbols representing the complementary forces of yin and yang. To the verso are impressed cartouches, with one having a two character mark and the other with six characters.
