A circa 1960s French advertising poster for Meuse Pils beer featuring graphics after listed French artist Bernard Villemot (1911 – 1989). The work depicts a bottle of Meuse Pils set on its side against a vertical line of pilsner glasses. The graphics are set against a black ground, with the text ‘Meuse Pils, en bouteille familiale’ printed in decorative red and cream text to the top and bottom, and fine print of ‘Imp. Affiches Gaillard. Paris’ printed to the lower margin. The image is signed ‘Villemot’ in plate to the lower right. It is presented under glass in a gold tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
