A hand-knotted Persian Targh Natanz Kashan rug. The field displays a roundel peacock medallion centered over a cream colored field. The field is decorated with a neutral colored palmettes, arabesque vines, lancet leaves, and lobed flowers. Further decorating the field are cream and blush colored spandrels. The field is surrounded by a complex compound border; including a meandering palmette principal border in similar palette. Cropped cotton warp fringe is present at either end.
