Item Details
A 19th-century Italian School original oil painting on wood panel of a portrait of a woman in tiara by O.S., dated 1886. The piece features a woman softly lit in profile. She is depicted wearing a tiara with a jeweled hairpiece and pink rose in her coif. Her light pink ballgown is accented with a rectangular, pearl and gem encrusted gold brooch. Signed and dated with the interlocking initials ‘OS,’ ‘Roma,’ and ‘1886’ to the lower right corner and on the back of the piece. Frame is gilt plaster and wood.
