An oil painting on panel titled Stranger I by well-listed Spanish-American artist, Dennis Hollingsworth (born 1956). Hollingsworth is known for his emphasis and use of texture in his paintings and has had works displayed at galleries throughout the United States and Europe. This Abstract-Expressionist style painting features drips, dots, spikes, splashes and swaths of color against a black background. There is no visible artist’s signature. This painting is mounted on a white backing and presented behind acrylic glass in a wooden frame with a hanging wire to the verso. Affixed to the verso is a label and a hand inscribed note specifying the title.
