Hand-Tufted and Carved Chinese "Royal Palace" Accent Rug

A hand-tufted and carved Chinese Royal Palace accent rug. This wool rug features an Aubusson-inspired design in a palette of black, cream, mauve, terracotta, and shades of pink. It begins with an oval floral medallion grounded in cream. The medallion rests on a black floral field, which features geometric brackets, the field enclosed by a paneled border grounded in black and filled with flowers. Edges are bound on all sides. The rug has a full fabric backing. A label on the underside of the rug has been mostly torn away.
