A restrike engraving on paper titled Mr. Charles Davis on ‘The Traverser’, originally engraved by Edward Hacker (British, 1813-1905). This piece depicts a man in a red hunting jacket mounted on a brown horse with a group of dogs, in an expansive landscape. The title and publication information are printed in type beneath the image. It is presented unsigned under layered mats and glass, in a gold tone wood frame with string for hanging and an informational label to the verso.

Condition

- some wear and scratches to surface of frame; large nicks to lower right of frame; glass would benefit from cleaning; minor scratch toward lower edge of glass; minor damage to backing paper.
