Oneida Community "Morning Star" Silver Plate Flatware Set

A silver plated flatware set by Oneida Community. This is in the Morning Star pattern, first introduced in 1948, which features a flared handle with square tip that has a pieced floral motif to the center with horizontal banding. This seventy-seven piece set includes twelve dinner knives, twelve dinner forks, twelve salad forks, eleven place spoons, twenty-three teaspoons, a pierced serving spoons, two serving spoons, a meat fork, a ladle, a sugar spoon, and a soup spoon. They are marked to the backs ‘Community’ and are presented with a sugar spoon in the South Seas pattern by Community and two teaspoons, a master butter knife, and a butter spreader.by 1847 Rogers Bros. of International Silver. The flatware are presented in a wooden flatware chest with dark brown felt-like interior lining.
