A hand-knotted Persian Kerman area rug. This wool rug features a crimson red field with a heavily floral embellished start medallion to the center surrounded by flower filled urns, and floral sprays to the spandrels. This rug also shows colors of indigo, rose, ivory, pale blue, sage green, and tan along with an ivory herati main border and floral guard borders. The edges are finished with with an overcast wrap and a natural warp ivory fringe to the ends, marked with a tag that reads ‘Made in Iran’.
