Late 19th C. Nippon Porcelain Urn with "NPSK" Mark

Item Details

An antique blue Nippon urn. This white porcelain piece features a glossy blue glaze to the rim and three-footed base. It is embellished with gold-tone gilding, a green medallion and hand-painted flowers in shades of red, pink and blue. The piece has a maker’s mark in green to the underside with a laurel wreath, crown and letters inside a shield: ‘N,’ ‘P,’ ‘S,’ ‘K’. This maker’s mark was produced circa late 19th Century.

Condition

- some surface wear; some areas of faded or missing paint; missing the lid.
