An intricately decorated Japanese stoneware goose figurine. This remarkable work is elaborately decorated with carved, impressed and slip trailed decoration , in vibrant orange, red, green, blues and yellows over the surface, with large floral and layered feather forms. The bird stretches its neck back to preen the wing feathers, with gold lustre accents throughout and on the beak. It is stamped to the underside with a maker’s stamp.
