A limited edition lithograph titled Talabor-Rel by Op Art artist, Victor Vasarely (Hungary, 1906 – 1997). This piece depicts a curvilinear pattern detailed with a purple oval and black square. It is hand signed in pencil by the artist to the lower right and is numbered 16 in an edition of 80. The piece is presented under glass in a black frame with a wire hang in verso.

Victor Vasarely was born in 1906 in Hungary and is often referred to as the “Father of the Op-Art Movement’. After studying medicine, he chose to pursue an education in art at the Muhely Academy of Budapest. Vasarely later moved to Paris, where he developed his artistic style of abstract visuals with kinetic effects. Today, his artwork is found world wide in museums such as the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museu, New York; Art Institute of Chicago; Musee d’Art Moderne, Paris; and the Museum of Modern Art, New York to name a few.

- mat is warped; some surface wear in purple area of print; frame has very minor surface wear.
