Dula 19th Century Oil Painting on Canvas "Vale of Death"
Item Details
An original 19th-century oil painting on canvas by an artist named Dula, titled Vale of Death. The painting depicts a mother and child walking down a dirt path that curves through a densely wooded forest. A small stream flows across the base of the image as it trickles over a large rock formation. The painting is signed and dated to the verso. A tag attached to the verso assigns Dula to the English School of painters and claimed they studied in Bristol and exhibited in Bristol, Chichester, and Southampton; none of this information is verifiable. The painting is presented in a wooden frame with gold tone finish and a hanging wire attached to the verso.
