A hand-knotted Persian Kashan wool area rug. This rug features a deep red lozenge field showing a central medallion with all-over floral and foliate motifs, as well to the spandrels. This rug also shows colors in indigo, ivory, sepia, tan, greens, rose, and pale blue, with a main herati patterned border with plentiful floral guard borders. The rug is finished with overcast edges with a natural warp ivory fringe, marked with a tag that reads, ‘Made in Iran’.

- Condition is consistent with age and shows signs of wear to the pile.
