Victorian Magazine Rack in Scorched Bamboo

Item Details

A Victorian magazine rack in scorched bamboo, with lacquered panel decoration. There are two side slotted sections and a bottom lower shelf, all of which feature a lacquer panel with floral motif. The middle section has a curved handle for ease of transport and each side has a black lacquered panel with floral motifs. The piece was originally acquired at auction from the Laidley House on Riverboat Row in Covington, Kentucky.

Condition

- hand rail section is loose with a missing bamboo wall on one side.
