A large, hand-knotted Chinese floral wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of black, cream, light browns, sage, crimson, and pale pink. It begins with a central floral medallion surrounded by discrete clusters of flowers in light browns, cream, and crimson, over a black field. The field is framed by compound floral borders over cream and camel. Selvedges are bound, the rug finishing at each end with off-white wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
