A pastel portrait of a young boy named Frederick Hennie, by artist Frances Hazel. This thoughtfully-rendered work depicts the young sitter in a light-green shirt, his hair carefully groomed. The drawing is signed and dated ‘1955’ to its lower left corner, and in presented in a ornately-carved and molded brown and gold tone wood and gesso frame, a wire for hanging to the verso along with a text noting the name of the sitter and his approximate age.

- cracks to gesso decorations on frame; areas of missing gesso on the frame.
